If BREAD<\/a><\/em> was SOFI TUKKER<\/a>‘s riskiest album yet, their next one, butter<\/em>, is the slow melt that follows.<\/p>\n

The duo today announced a new album, a breezy, jazz-inflected counterpart to 2024’s steamy\u00a0BREAD<\/em><\/a>. Due out\u00a0May 16th, butter<\/em> reimagines SOFI TUKKER’s signature sound through the lens of Brazilian bossa nova and samba, and incorporates worldly influences like bolero, bachata and reggae, according to a press release.<\/p>\n

Where BREAD<\/em> was vibrant, brash and burning hot, butter<\/em> smooths things over with stringed flourishes and a softer glow. The pair revamped fan-favorites like \u201cThrow Some Ass\u201d and \u201cWoof\u201d into live sultry versions, and the first single, a rework of “Bread\u201d featuring Seu Jorge, drops May 2nd.<\/p>\n

In a year jam packed with festivals, a Wynn Las Vegas residency<\/a>\u00a0and a special butter<\/em> set at Newport Jazz Fest this August, SOFI TUKKER\u2019s 2025 is already shaping up to be massive.\u00a0Fans can now pre-save<\/a>\u00a0the upcoming album on streaming platforms and pre-order vinyl\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
