Back in 1990, when neon windbreakers were must-have fashion items, Black Box unleashed “Everybody Everybody” on unsuspecting dancefloors. Over three decades later, Jake Shore<\/a> and Rich DietZ<\/a> are proving that good house music\u2014like Nintendo consoles and Home Alone<\/em>\u2014only improves with age.<\/p>\n

Now back for a victory lap, the house track that once competed with MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice for radio play has found new life in the skilled hands of Shore and DietZ, two of the genre’s most promising acts. “Everybody” is out now via Tchami’s influential house music label Confession<\/a>, the perfect platform for a track that bridges the gap between Clinton-era rave culture and today’s festival circuit.<\/p>\n

They’ve done what countless producers have attempted but few have achieved: resurrecting a dance classic without sacrificing its soul. The iconic organ riff and rousing vocals that once blasted from boomboxes and car stereos have been meticulously reengineered and spliced through a pumping four-on-the-floor beat.<\/p>\n

All said and done, the track is a testament to house music’s cyclical nature and enduring appeal. Much like how Doc Martens never truly went out of style, “Everybody” proves that some classics deserve their second act.<\/p>\n
